The woman when we arrived was so friendly and warm and welcoming, (assuming manager) and even asked if we wanted to participate in their local/weekly meat draw, the girl with the bad leg, was also friendly, but glad we left when we did, (shortly after 6) as not sure we would have stayed at all if that had been our initial greet!
I would still recommend, but hope you get one of the friendlier staff, than miss grumps

The crist of the pudding was a little dry for my liking (Microwaved rather than boiled?)and while tasty the meat could have been a little more tender. Pricewise it is average. Menu and specials are extensive - maybe too much so. Slightly less choice might allow for higher quality and keener pricing. Pub interior is cosy with interesting pics on the wall.
